Georgian man dragged two Ford minivans with his left ear for 41 meters

Lasha Pataraya, a 27-year-old resident of Tbilisi and a Georgian champion in Greco-Roman wrestle, has set a new record. He dragged two Ford minivans braced with chains along the shore of Kura River to a distance of 41 meters. The minivans together weighed 4.5 ton and were attached to Pataraya’s left ear with a nylon chord.

Hundreds of bystanders witnessed the show. Representatives from the Guinness Book of Records were also present at the scene taking photo and video materials to be sent back to their headquarters for decision-makers, ITAR-TASS reports.

This is not the first exotic record set by Pataraya. In 2003 he dragged a small bus with his ears to a 48 meter distance. That record was accepted by the Guinness Book of Records. Later the champion used his ears again to lift off the ground and hold in the air for 19 seconds a few weighs adding to 52 kg.

After having established another record Pataraya told the journalists that he is going to prepare for a new trial – to drag three buses with one ear, Interfax reports. To the question how he was feeling Pataraya responded that “the ear was hurting terribly.”

Lasha Pataraya was born in Chkhorotsuiskiy region in Western Georgia and graduated from the University of Tbilisi with an education major. His height is 180 cm and his weight – 90 kg.
