Computer will check resumes for honesty

The SAS Institute, an American company that produces software for data processing, introduced software for the effective analysis of e-mails and other electronic texts in English for lies. The authors say that regular turns of speech change when people are diffident or speaking lies. This can be seen not only in the oral speech, but in writing as well.

The new software examines differences of the words and grammar constructions used by people from the standard. A lie is evident if messages are abundant in adjectives and or conjunctions. The new product is designed for the analysis of large texts and small-scale documents, including a resume for employment. The software’s productiveness is very high: the texts of a regular library can be processed within several hours only. Gala.net
